What is injury prevention
in the workplace?

It is no secret that the varying physical requirements of our jobs, whether they be desk based or highly manual, can put high levels of strain on our bodies.

Overtime, little aches and pains, if left unaddressed, can develop into more chronic issues that can ultimately affect our ability to perform in our respective roles.

Here at on GCP we want to offer you the guidance to not only to help you protect your body whilst at work, but look at the overall physical improvements you can make to enhance your bodies performance.

We will look at the basics of load management of repetitive tasks and adopting ergonomically sound postures but we will also explore physical principles such as strength, stability and endurance to help your body become more robust to deal with work-related demands.

How do we do it?

Education on how to keep the body healthy, what the different structures, that could potentially cause pain, like and dislike

Education on manual handling/desk ergonomics, optimising your environment to support your bodies functioning

Exercises to test your bodies physical function, helping to highlight weakness in your physical performance

Education on exercise planning, helping to develop a healthy routine around a demanding work schedule.

You will gain a better understanding of how to look after your body from a physical perspective

You will learn exercises that can be easily implanted into your work schedule to support your body and reduce injury risk

You will gain insight into your bodies current physical capabilities and understand where improvements can be made to support and enhance your performance at work

Working with Alex and the team at GCP this pre-season put me in the best shape possible ahead of the new season. The programme that GCP delivered for me was exactly what I needed and I look forward to working with them again.

I attended the performance psychology section with 20 other business founders and found it very useful in understanding myself and what I can do to improve my personal performance within my team. I went further to invite the GCP team into conducting the same session with my staff. Overall I wanted my team to improve their individual and team performance by understanding each other’s mindset and gain an appreciation of each other’s approach. This was well-received by all staff beyond what I or my management team could achieve. Getting an external organisation truly added value as the session was not treated as a company requirement but a more personal approach to development. I strongly recommend any business that wants to develop a high-performance team to attend this course. The preparation, delivery and execution is great.
