Matt joins GCP as Performance Coach this month from EXOS where he has been running the onsite human performance programme for Google at their UK HQ for the past 2 years. Previous to his time with EXOS, Matt worked in China for the Chinese Olympic Association across a number of sports and before his time overseas he worked for a number of UK football clubs as a physical performance coach.
Matt’s role at GCP will be leading the B2C and B2B performance coaching programmes for clients based across the UK. He will also work closely with the team at St George’s Park to create digital support programmes for athletes and students that attend the PFA rehabilitation programme and Education Experience Days.
On joining GCP Matt said “The opportunity to join the team at GCP felt like a great chance for me to be part of a company that is really going places. Having coached athletes all over the world and more recently worked at Google with a wide range of people of all ages and levels of fitness, supporting the launch of GCP’s B2B and B2C programmes felt like a great fit. I really like what the team have already been putting together and I am looking forward to contributing further with my knowledge and experience to ensure that our programmes are market leading. Seeing already the range of corporate clients and individuals that are coming onboard with our programmes is really exciting. The opportunity to scale these services over the coming years so that more people have access to elite level coaching is something that I can’t wait to be part of”.
