Mitch joins us this month as a Physical Performance Coach from Aston Villa Women FC where he has been working as part of the performance team for the past two years. Mitch is a UKSCA accredited coach and has built up a range of coaching experience within elite sport and University sport over a number of years.

Based at St George’s Park, Mitch’s role at GCP will see him deliver across the Professional Footballers Association rehabilitation programme, Education Experience’s, regional PGMOL S&C programme and Staffordshire University S&C programme. He will also be supporting our B2C and B2B coaching teams with programming design and support.

On joining GCP Mitch said “Joining GCP has come at an ideal time for me in my coaching career and I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into a new journey. I’ve been looking to work greater detail around supporting athletes returning from injury as it’s an area that I know S&C plays a huge benefit to a sound and robust recovery. The chance to work with the GCP team at St George’s Park on the PFA programme is an incredible opportunity for me to further develop my skillset. I’m looking forward also to progressing the programme and partnership that GCP has built with Staffordshire University with my previous experience in the HE performance sport environment and also to work with so many students from academic institutions from across the country via our education experience days at St George’s Park. The company is going through an exciting growth period and I’m looking forward to supporting this progression over the coming years as part of a team of knowledgeable and experienced practitioners”.
