During the pre season the club needed to recruit a soft tissue therapist to join our senior medical team. We were looking to move quickly and approached the GCP team to aid us in the search. I was impressed by the quality of candidates GCP presented in a short time frame and the process was professional and extremely effective

Dr Mark Gillett, Performance Director - West Bromwich Albion FC

I was really keen to give my lads something different to their normal football sessions and approached GCP to see if they could help. GCP delivered a block of pitch based speed, power and strength sessions in place of our regular training sessions. The lads absolutely loved it and you could see their progress within a few sessions. The sessions were challenging, fun and engaging for the group. As a grassroots coach and having worked in football for 20 years having access to GCP’s athletic development services is great and offers something totally different that most grassroots players will never have experienced

Paul Newman, Manager - Allestree Juniors FC Porto U13's

DCFC Ladies FC are currently entering into our second season of support with GCP. Following a successful first season which revolutionised our approach towards physical performance we are really excited about the season ahead. GCP run our pre-season conditioning, sports science testing and athletic development programme across the season. A key factor for our decision to work with GCP was their ability to provide all the equipment to support their programme plus the quality of their staff. Via GCP we now have a professional team set up and approach towards physical performance which previously we have never had. Most importantly the girls have bought into the programme and have benefited massively which is key

Samantha Griffiths, Technical Director - DCFC Ladies FC

As we were moving to Under13’s football next season we were looking to run a pre-season style programme for our boys for the first time to improve all round fitness and strength. I spoke to Jake and he was able to provide us with a professional football style pre-season conditioning programme for the teams. GCP’s coaches delivered a mix of conditioning and speed, agility and quickness sessions for the lads which they have never done before – and really enjoyed. In the final week they also ran a battery of sports science testing for the players which measure their strength, power and speed. The response and buy in from our players and coaches was brilliant. As a club we are now looking at how to incorporate GCP’s sessions into a season long programme across the club

Simon Annable, Manager Duffield Dynamos U13's

GCP approached the University to support our developing sports performance programme and we were immediately impressed. They have been able to lead the recruitment process for our new S&C coach plus also provide a comprehensive and professional programme for our athletes & teams. Scholar athletes and performance teams not only get bespoke S&C programmes but are also monitored and tested utilising GCP’s access to the latest sports performance software and technologies. We would highly recommend GCP to other Universities to help support their sports performance programmes

Daniel Stanton, Sports Performance Manager, Staffordshire University

My daughter plays for a local academy and picked up an unfortunate injury. Following her operation and rehabilitation on the NHS she was really struggling to get back playing in the timeframes we knew could be possible. Via GCP we were able to access sport specific strength & conditioning sessions which have been brilliant for her recovery. Hannah has made huge improvements in her physical condition since working with James and GCP and she will continue work with GCP for her athletic development. We would highly recommend GCP services for any young athlete

Stephen Gordon Joughin, Parent

British Cycling have been working with GCP to deliver a remote strength & conditioning support service to our academy riders based in the East Midlands. Their quality of coaching, communication and reliability in delivery has been superb

Scott Pearson, Lead Academy S&C Coach British Cycling

GCP have an ever-increasing coaching team that are both knowledgeable and experienced. I have been delighted with their willingness to tailor a programme to match our very specific demands and we will be continuing our relationship with them for the foreseeable future. Any Director of Sport or Head of PE who is looking to integrate an Athletic Development Programme into their school would certainly benefit from speaking to Jake and his team

Ian Pollock, Director of Sport Repton School

The team at Benchmark54 are delighted to be working with GCP at St Georges Park. The facility is a proven resource for rehabilitation and Jake has gathered excellent clinical and technical staff who will deliver an evidence-based philosophy with football relevance. We hope that now with the addition of Benchmark54 the process of recording and processing information will be easier for them. Due to the large number of pro football clubs now using Benchmark54 all the GCP data will become a seamless part of the players Medical records.

Dr James Brown, Founder Benchmark 54 & Chief Medical Officer British Athletics

Curt Taylor, Head of Sales UK & Ire Catapult Sports

We’re pleased to be linking up with Game Changer Performance. Sports rehabilitation, sports science and conditioning is a vital part of what we do at St. George’s Park on a daily basis. Our aim is to continue the great work that has been carried out in our first five years and attract an even wider audience to the facilities.

Holly Murdoch, General Manager FA St Georges Park

The PFA has provided a residential rehabilitation provision for its current and former members for over 20 years, firstly through Lilleshall and for the last five years through Spire Perform at St Georges Park. When Spire Perform made the decision to leave SGP the PFA were keen to maintain this benefit of membership which has been well received and the continuation of a high-quality provision was a priority therefore we are pleased to confirm that Game Changer Performance are to deliver the PFA residential programme at SGP and look forward to working with Jake and his staff to maintain a high quality of service to our current and former members

John Bramhall, Deputy Chief Executive Professional Footballers Association

Having recently visited St George’s Park for an experience day with GC Performance, Sport and Exercise Science students from the college were given a fantastic insight into the fitness regimes and processes often undertaken by professional athletes. Specifically, the students were provided with the opportunity to participate in strength and conditioning, sprint training, and access rehabilitation techniques commonly used by GC Performance’s professional staff to manage footballers undergoing treatment as part of the PFA’s rehabilitation programme. The students gained a great deal from the day and as a college we are excited at the prospect of returning in the near future as part of our ongoing partnership with GC Performance.

Jack Bullock, Curriculum Leader HE Sport & BTEC Sport Science Stafford College

The experience provided to the students was an excellent example of sports science in practice, demonstrating clearly how the inter-disciplinary teams assess, liaise and programme for an injured athlete to return to play post injury. There was clear guidance of how the team used evidence based practice to support this journey for the athlete, and gave the students a first had experience of how to apply their theoretical degree knowledge in an elite environment.

James Keenan, Programme Leader – Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation University of Derby

When working in a foreign country, finding high quality applicants for roles within our department has proven to be tricky. Due to the lack of understanding of how a funded full time internship can benefit student’s, very few university’s and colleges were willing to work with us, and even fewer applications from the places that were.

GCP did everything for us, found us very high quality, well motivated individuals, who were excited to become a part of our department. The work that GCP put in to providing us with great candidates has led to by far our best staff set up to date. I couldn’t recommend GCP’s services highly enough when looking to recruit.

Ben Rosen, 1st Team Fitness Coach Malmö FF

The whole week has been a great experience and pleasure to work with the GCP team and their very good physios and fitness coaches. The atmosphere GCP create day to day is great for injured players and a perfect environment to recover as well as possible. I will no doubt recommend the programme to any players for the future.

Joe Partington, Bristol Rovers FC

Lewis is doing extremely well! he’s building up his contact training and if all goes well we are looking at getting some pre-season match minutes in a couple of weeks. I was really impressed with everything when I came up to visit. The amount of care Lewis received we exceptional and we were happy to get extra stats that we aren’t able to get here due to the lack of facilities.
